Our God is a big God. He is the one true, living God and He is bigger than we can think or imagine. At His word He spoke the universe into existence. He breathes, and there is life. His glory is unfathomable. His love immeasurable. His power uncontainable. He is the one who declared, “I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” God most certainly has a big vision for the people of Brisbane City. He is building a big church, filled with big hearted people. Inviting us to join Him in flooding our city, our nation and our world with big generosity. Big passion, Jesus’ passion. He’s gathering a big capacity team together to make a big difference in our generation… simply because our God is a big God and nothing is too hard for Him and He is passionate about the broken, the hurting, the lost.

Our God is a now God. He never grows tired or sleeps. His eye is always on His people. He cares for us… now. And in Jesus God declares freedom for the captive… now. Sight for the blind… now. Jesus is God invading our world now, today, so that the lost might be found. Jesus is relevance clothed in human flesh. There is nothing out of date, boring or dull about Him. He calls His church to follow Him today for the sake of the broken, lost and disconnected. Calling us to live lives of love today and do what it takes to reach some for the glory of His gospel.

Our God calls us to see and go. To see that truly the fields are ripe for harvest and He is drawing countless lost people to Himself as His church loves and shares His gospel. We see a new church community in Brisbane that is honest and genuine with people, accepting them where they are but loving them enough to not let them stay there. We see Jesus shaping a church for today. A church that desires to show the love of God in practical ways. We see a church of the city, for the city. A church that is willing to do what it takes to engage with 21^st Century culture, disciplining and sending missionaries to the ends of the earth. A youthful, multicultural and passionate church that sensitively engages the city with the gospel as they follow and celebrate Jesus Christ.
