Visa news

We received an email from the the Australian migration law office today. It looks like we should be eligible for a permanent visa. This is great news. Having a permanent visa would mean we would not have to worry about applying over and over for a visa. We would also be able to use government funded well care.

There is a HUGE catch on this one though. 6475 dollars worth. So yeah, the visa process is expensive for Australia. We are checking our options, but from what I am hearing, this is the best option for our family

We need all the help we can get with this. Please consider donating to help cover this expense. All donations are important no matter how big or small. Press the donate button to the right to donate via PayPal or click on the donations page link to see how to donate via check.

Maybe time

Less than a year … About 10 months. That is the plan. Shannon and I plan on packing up the family and heading around the world to live.

I had a friend tell me today that he will help me to get a job in Brisbane. I am so thankful for the people who are in my life. It is actually bitter sweet, to have such great friends and to be leaving. I have some pretty outstanding friends in Brisbane too.

Can’t we just take everyone with us to Brisbane? My hopes are that our friends and family will be able to make the trip to Australia at least once. God willing we will be able to have a home to accommodate guests.

By the way check out Because We Care I built a countdown timer for June 15 … Maybe that is the date….just maybe.

The process

We are trying to get our hands around this process of moving to Australia. It is not an easy task and only God will be able to pull us through it seems.

We are looking at the whole forest and probably need to pick out all the trees so we can better plan were we will start first. The one that concerns me the most right now is the whole visa process. UHG! talk about heartburn. I don’t know if it is going to be difficult or not … that is just what I have been told. We have been weighing all of our options on the visa front to see what will be the best way to proceed.

We are also looking at all the “stuff” we have and are starting the process of selling off what is not needed. I am in awe of all the stuff we have collected …. ok ok. all the stuff I have collected. My family is not nearly as much of pack rats as I am. Well, maybe my little Kayla. She seems to save everything too :)

WE will prevail.
